Micro-self-care practices are simple and effective practices that can be woven into the workday to nourish and protect our mind and body. These can be practiced during a session or in between sessions that help us to be present, centered and emotionally vibrant. It is necessary to protect ourselves from occupational hazards such as burnout. Macro-self-care practices such as vacation, hobby, sleep and exercise are important. These don’t suffice in contexts such as witnessing intense emotions (pain or anger) or facing criticism in the here-and-now in the consultation room. What about having visual cues or an anchor object that helps you access inner balance during the session? Let’s discuss more when we meet at the webinar.
